Is the school co-educational?

Yes

Is the school strictly boarding?

No. The school operates a day school, as well as weekly / full boarding

What is the capacity of the school?

600 students at full capacity.

What is the maximum class size?

15 students per class maximum.

Do you have a full listing of courses?

  • The curriculum has been structured to ensure that the students receive the training and information required to prepare them for university and for their future careers.

 

  • In Key Stage 3 the school follows the English National Curriculum. In Year 9 students will sit the Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Check Point examinations in English, Mathematics and Science.

 

  • In Key Stage 4 students will be required to take 10 subjects at IGCSE.  The students will sit the IGCSEs from University of Cambridge International Examinations in Year 11 and in Year 12 the students will sit for WASSAC.

 

  • The curriculum areas are:

    • Creative Arts and Physical Education

What languages can students learn?

We teach English, French, Yoruba and Igbo at present

Are you only admitting into Year 7?

We admit students into all classes, except Year 12.

We also offer a Pre-college intervention classes for year 5 & 6 students who are not old enough to begin in  Year 7.

What is the admissible age into Year 7?

The child / candidate must be 10 year by December 31st of the year of admission.

How do I apply?

An Application Form / Admission Form must be filled either online, or collected from the Admissions office and submitted to the school.  .

My child does not fall within the age bracket, can I still fill the forms and do the exams?

In exceptional circumstances, the school will admit a child who is at least 9+ years. Please note however that the decision to offer admission will be at the discretion of the Principal. Taking the entrance exams does not therefore guarantee admission into the school.

Do the entrance exams have to be taken at Lead-Forte Gate College campus only?

We now have a number of centers where exams may be taken.

Does the school have Medical facility?

Yes. The school has a standard functional clinic with qualified medical professionals

Is there a discount for siblings?

What is the Policy on discipline?

Lead-Forte Gate College has very high expectations in terms of discipline. We expect our students to be courteous and respectful to staff, fellow students and visitors to the school. They also conduct themselves at all times in a manner that will give credit to the school.

What is the Policy on Bullying?

The school has zero tolerance to bullying. The students are sensitized on a regular basis on the school’s anti-bullying policy, and any student who contravenes the school rules is severely punished.

What is the quality of Staff?

Our Academic staff are highly qualified with many of them having vast working experiences.

Yes, with both or either of the parents

What does the boarding experience offer?

In residence, students learn important and lasting life skills. Students grow as independent thinkers, responsible young adults and confident problem solvers.

Calendar?

Our school runs from September to the end of June / July each year.

Does the school have a religious affiliation?

Lead-Forte Gate College is a Christian school, however we do not discriminate against students with different religions.
